CABI has produced a new video guide to the isolation of fungal and bacterial pathogens from diseased plant tissue.

The video, available on CABI’s YouTube channel, features Dr Phil Taylor demonstrating the process which is part of CABI’s fungal and bacterial identification capability under its range of Bioscience Services.

CABI is a leading provider of microbial and molecular services and is committed to delivering applied biology solutions. Dr Taylor is part of a team of experienced scientists who have the knowledge and expertise to help solve problems in agriculture, research, environment and industry.

Methods of fungal and bacterial identification which CABI can carry out include Sanger sequencing. CABI can also use state-of-the-art technology, including Next Generation Sequencing and MALDI-ToF-MS to answer complex research questions relating to agriculture and the environment.

Member Countries can take advantage of benefits that include microbial identification and a number of other services and products.

    Very informative thank you. we also have sample which we sometimes isolate that needs sequencing to correctly identify the causal organism to species level. So how do we send our samples considering that sometimes shipping costs are exorbitant? Can I also get the requirements you like for shipping extracted DNA to you for sanger sequencing and the shipping address for mailing the samples?
